Join us in the beautiful Mattatuck Museum, a center for art and culture in downtown Waterbury for a night full of dance, music, and fun! Experienced salsa and dance instructor, Edward Truehart, will start the night off with a free lesson for all. Food will be available for purchase from Sweet Bella's Cafe. 

Salsa and Bachata Dance Competition Rules

1 lead and 1 follow will randomly be selected to dance with each other.

Songs will last approximately 1 min in length and selected by the DJ.

The couple will randomly rotate partners again but not dance with the same partner more than once. 

Judges will be given a strict judgment criteria that will not be announced. 

Monetary prizes and trophies will be awarded to 1 lead and 1 follow.

Participants can NOT BE or Include:

1. Instructors of any genre of dance

2. No professional dancers, performers, etc.

3. Any type of choreography dips or lifts

(Immediate disqualification)

Participants must have:

1. Several months of class or social dance

2. Be a non beginner

Registration cost:

$5.00 per participant

Registration will close a week prior to the event. No walk-ins will be added without prior registration.
